The Lost Gardens at Boconnoc

  • 9th Apr 2012

We would like to say a big ‘Congratulations’ and ‘Thank you’ to everyone involved in making this year’s trip to the 100th CGS Spring Flower Show at the magnificent Boconnoc estate, another success!

Unlike previous years, we decided to create a trade stand rather than a show garden so that we could showcase our unique collections of ‘Heritage & Survivor Plants’. As a trade stand we found ourselves amongst many other traders on the main lawn where we picked up the first of many awards. This award for our trade stand was a ‘Silver Gilt’ certificate for “Horticultural Trade Exhibit”, which was well deserved if we do say so ourselves! We would like to thank the many members of Heligan staff who helped us through the many different stages of this successful show weekend.

That Heligan Gardening Team did really well in the competitive classes bringing back and impressive 9 x 1sts, 2 x 2nds, 6 x 3rds and 3 x Highly Commended awards.

This amazing collection of awards also saw us winning the Norman Knibbs Challenge Cup for most points in Sections F&G, Herbaceous Pot Plants as well as the The Hodgson Challenge Cup for most points in Section G, Pot Plants!

Thank you again one and all. We look forward to seeing you at Boconnoc in 2013!
