Weddings at Heligan
The multi-award winning Lost Gardens of Heligan are as beautiful as they are unique; with a timeless elegance and ethereal charm which we believe makes there no better venue to play host to your special day.
85% of the produce used in our menus is from Heligan Garden & Estate, meaning it’s only 157 yards from the garden to your table.
From our own rare breed livestock to the array of fresh vegetables and fruit, we are incredibly lucky to have such versatile, seasonal ingredients at our fingertips. Sourcing wines grown on the coastal slopes of Cornwall and beyond, as well as local spirits, means we can create a bar menu that reflects your tastes. We hope you enjoy food as much as we do and are happy to create a menu for your wedding day that speaks to your love of food.
A magical setting
Our dedicated Wedding Team will look after you every step of the way, from the initial consultation through to your special day. With the option to hold ceremonies and dinner for up to 50 guests, this intimate wedding venue will provide you and your guests the ultimate rustic, garden experience. Walking through the gardens to your wedding location, you may hear birds singing on Flora’s Green, smell the flowers in the walled gardens and see lambs bouncing around the paddocks. Heligan offers an idyllic setting we hope you will all remember for years to come.
Testimonial - Bruce & Emma
Thank you for the perfect day at Heligan for our wedding reception.
We chose The Lost Garden of Heligan as our reception venue, as it is a place where Emma and I visit regularly. It’s a place that changes every season and always draws us back. We were lucky to find that this year you were looking to reintroduce weddings from a six year absence, with us being your first wedding in August 2022. Louise, Nat and the team were fantastic, helping us create our vision of a small rustic wedding within the gardens. From our first meeting with Louise, she helped us create the intimate venue with all of the personal touches we were looking for.
Louise was always on hand to help with the bespoke details and personal touches, from the flowers from the gardens to the Stewards House being decorated for our first dance, we were made to feel truly special. The day had a natural flow, without anyone ever having to look at a watch or ensure things were running to time, this in part was down to the amazing team at Heligan, ensuring a structure to the wedding formalities with a flexible approach to the day.
As beautiful as Heligan is as a venue, the food that Nat created complemented the day. Never was a plate empty, with guests circling back to the BBQ hut to experience different locally sourced dishes, with salads and roasted vegetables from the gardens themselves. The evening had fire pits lit, for guests to enjoy toasting marshmallows and appreciate the grounds under the moonlight.
We feel so very thankful to Louise, Nat and everyone involved from Heligan for making our wedding day so special, it was truly something on par with a fairy tale.
Thank you all for a day we will never forget.
