Car Parking
A limited number of complimentary parking spaces are available within the main car park at the Lost Gardens of Heligan. These will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Additional parking is available in the neighbouring overflow car park. Please note that since 2025, this car park has been managed via an Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system with applicable charges, see the details here.
Our wish – and goal – is to provide free parking for all of our visitors. We are actively liaising with our neighbours as well as exploring alternative solutions and we will update this page as discussions progress.
No car? No problem
The Lost Gardens are directly linked to National Cycle Network Route Number 3, providing a safe, virtually traffic-free link to Mevagissey, Pentewan and St Austell.
For those who wish to walk to Heligan, we are just 1.5 miles from the South West Coast Path. Whether you are walking from the east or the west, the nearby villages of Pentewan and Mevagissey offer the perfect detour points for you to link up to the footpaths and cycleways that lead you to The Lost Gardens.
Transport for Cornwall provide a bus service to The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
Visitors can join these services from St Austell station. Our bus stop is conveniently situated inside the Heligan car park.
