Heligan Wins Bronze at the Visit England Awards

  • 11th May 2015

We are thrilled to announce that we have won bronze in the ‘Large Visitor Attraction of the Year’ category at VisitEngland’s Awards for Excellence 2015.

The glamorous awards ceremony was held on Monday 11th May at the magnificent Sage in Gateshead where George Elworthy, Lorna Tremayne and Beth Nicholls collected the prestigious award.

George Elworthy, our Managing Director, said: ‘It is very humbling that a garden open for 25 years, is considered one of the best attractions not just in South West, but the whole of England.

‘It really pays credit to the fantastic work the team here have done, since the gardens were first rediscovered by Tim Smit, John Nelson and John Willis in 1990.’

VisitEngland is the country’s national tourist board. It works in partnership with the tourism industry to develop the visitor experience, plan national tourism strategy, grow the value of tourism in England and provide advocacy for the industry and visitors.
