Guided tour by a Heligan gardener
Your guide will be one of Heligan’s own ornamental gardeners, taking you through the pleasure grounds, past sculptural highlights and seasonal plantings, and sharing what they love about working here. Expect to explore what is looking its best right now and hear the stories behind some of the garden’s most distinctive corners, from the National Collection of rhododendrons surrounding Flora’s Green to the Sundial Garden, the New Zealand Garden, the Italian Garden and the Ravine.

The ornamental gardens at Heligan have been shaped by generations of the Tremayne family and the gardeners who worked them, forming a layered record of centuries devoted to pleasure and beauty. Today’s gardeners care for this legacy every day, connecting Heligan’s history with its present and future. This tour brings to life Britain’s most romantic gardens through the eyes of those who know them best.

- Please note that this session will involve walking our paths in all weathers. Please ensure that you wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather.
- If you would like to take notes, please bring a notebook and pen.
- You are welcome to take photographs during the tour, so don’t forget your camera.
