Hello Spring, we’ve been waiting for you!

Flora, The Goddess of Flowers has bought life, colour and beauty to The Lost Gardens, as the new season finally awakens and we all long to spend time wandering in nature. This Spring bank holiday, we invite you to breathe in the flowers, to laze in the meadows and to celebrate with loved ones the start of longer days and the end of April showers. May has arrived in a blaze of beauty and we are ready for a perfect weekend break.

The gardens and estate are brimming with flowers, from our valley of bluebells, hedgerows of wildflowers, ornamental borders and historic camellias and rhododendrons.

• The Play meadow will be open offering acres of fun and adventure, as well as our ever-popular jumping pillow.
  
  
• This weekend we invite you to enjoy face painting, bubble blowing, glitter tattoos and flower crown crafting in the Play Meadow tent.
  
  
• Plant a sunflower seed to take home to nurture and bring joy to your garden.
  
  
• Dance, sing, pull up a deck chair, grab a cool drink and enjoy our live musicians, Out of the wood.
  
  
• The Play & Graze outlet will provide all the treats to enjoy a shared picnic on the meadow and our ice cream dreams decorating station will be ready for all your ice cream desires. Sprinkles, sauce, cream…how will you create yours?
  
  
• Garden Guests will enjoy 10% off plants, seeds and gardening equipment to help them to get garden ready.

Our Heligan team will be on hand to provide talks and tours, which will include.

• Springtime on Home Farm, meet the lambs, pigs, donkeys, and poultry. We will even have newly hatched chicks to add to the joy.
  
  
• Join a member of the engagement team for a relaxed tour of The Gardens, stopping along the way to admire our historic working gardens and sharing what our spring season has in store, from what's being sown, to what is currently growing and blooming.

Garden tours will start from Flora's Green each day at 10.30, 12.00 and 14.00  and end in the sundial garden, with the route being fully accessible.

Limited places will be available on a first come, first served basis.

As the month of May welcomes you, what better way to spend a long weekend than rediscovering all that we love about nature as you wander and explore the beauty of the Lost Gardens.
