Keeping a close eye on the past, the Heligan Estate is managed using both historic and sustainable techniques, keeping traditional breeds of animal and bringing age-old rural crafts back to life. 

Today, Heligan’s livestock graze the ancient pasture and thrive amongst the haymeadows and wild flowers of the estate. Our woodlands showcase a lost world of charcoal production whilst being home to a carpet of bluebells in spring, as well as an abundance of wildlife throughout the year.
