Join us in the Heligan Kitchen as we host the first Lost Supper of 2026, a celebration of our long standing partnership with local butcher and grazier James Kittow, based just ten miles away in Kilhallon, Par.

James will share how his family craft began, the work that shapes his produce and the story behind each dish served throughout the evening.

You will be welcomed with a seasonal cocktail before sitting down to five courses that honour the pig in true nose-to-tail fashion.

Please note that this special Lost Supper is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. We invite you to look out for future events where we celebrate the beauty and abundance of heritage fruits and vegetables grown in The Lost Gardens of Heligan.

Lost Suppers

Lost Suppers are about connections, the connection between people, the soil, the planet and food. In the current climate it’s never been more important to talk about food miles and eating from the land has always been the way at Heligan, that’s what it was built for.

The menu is never published beforehand as it is written after the gardeners have listed what’s available or what’s in season, which makes this unique experience completely ingredient led.

This special Lost Suppers will be held in the Heligan Kitchen conservatory.  Doors will open at 6.30pm with a welcome drink for all upon arrival.

*Please note the dining experience will conclude at approximately 10pm

About James Kittow Butcher & Grazier

Established in 1880, James Kittow Butcher & Grazier is a proudly family-run business based at nearby Kilhallon. James lives on the farm with his family, continuing a legacy that began when his great-great-grandfather first started raising pedigree Red Ruby cattle in the very same fields where the herd still grazes today.

Rooted in generations of farming expertise, James and his team are committed to delivering exceptional meat, reared and butchered with the utmost care and in line with the highest standards of quality, welfare, hygiene and environmental responsibility.

Every cut comes either directly from the family farm or from carefully selected local suppliers who share the same ethos. Championing traditional and rare breeds, only truly outstanding meat earns the James Kittow seal of approval, served with the time-honoured values of craftsmanship, service and value that have defined the business for over 140 years.
