Heligan Seed Swap

Here at Heligan, we are passionate about growing heritage varieties of fruit and vegetables and nurturing them from seed to plate. The ‘Heligan Seed Swap’ gives our visitors the opportunity to take away some unusual varieties to grow in their own gardens. The best way to ensure that heritage varieties prosper is to grow them and, where possible, to save their seed for future generations. These seeds are like garden gold.

Our Seed Swap will be held in the Melon Yard where our ‘seed guardians’ will be on hand to share their knowledge and passion for why seed saving is so vital.

We invite you to bring along your own saved seeds to swap and would love to hear your experiences and seed saving plans.

Our seeds will be available to take away; all we ask is for a donation as part of our chosen charities scheme.

We look forward to welcoming you, swapping some seeds and preserving our horticultural past to protect the plants of the future.
