Bumblebee Identification Workshop for Beginners

In collaboration with Three Bays Wildlife group, come along to learn how to identify the top eight bumblebee species found in the UK. The workshop will introduce how to ID bumblebees and will encourage participants to engage with Bumblebee Conservation Trust’s ‘BeeWalk’ monitoring scheme- one of the largest bumblebee datasets in the world.
The event will consist of a classroom session, followed by a Bee Safari around the beautiful Lost Gardens of Heligan to look for these bumblebee species.
Ticket price includes a hot drink with proceeds from this event will go to support Three Bays Wildlife group. If you wish to remain and enjoy the rest of your afternoon in the gardens, please purchase garden entry separately or use a locals pass.
Please dress for the Cornish weather with layers and a waterproof, and wear sturdy shoes. The workshop will take place in accessible parts of the gardens.
