Perfect Pelargoniums with Fibrex Nurseries

Join us for a day of Pelargonium discovery as we welcome Fibrex Nurseries to The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
Celebrate these elegant summer-flowering plants, beloved for bringing colour, character and sophistication to borders, pots and containers alike.
Throughout this special event, the Fibrex team will share their expert knowledge, from choosing the perfect varieties to creating beautiful pelargonium pairings for your garden.
Guests will also have the chance to enjoy an intimate tour of Heligan’s own pelargonium displays in the beautiful Pencalenick Glasshouse, led by a member of our expert gardening team.
The Fibrex team will be on hand throughout the day to help you find the perfect plants to take home, while our friends at Niwaki will showcase the specialist tools we use to care for our own pelargoniums here at Heligan.
Workshops
Cutting back pelargoniums
10am to 11am
An introduction to when and how to cut back your plants, encouraging stronger growth and better shape. A pelargonium will be provided for you to work on during the session, with guidance throughout.
Taking cuttings
11.30am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 3pm
A practical session on propagation, learning how to take and prepare cuttings so that one plant can become many over time. A pelargonium will be provided, allowing you to take your own cuttings and understand the process fully.
