Summer at Heligan
18 July – 6th Sept 2020
Daily 10am – 6pm
Step into summer at The Lost Gardens and embark on a seasonal sensory adventure; discover a world of butterflies and bees and lose yourself in a wildflower sea.
This year, we have planted an incredible 15 acres of wildflower meadow for you to enjoy. Cornflowers, corn chamomile, poppies and corn marigolds will come together to create an incredible visual backdrop to summer at The Lost Gardens. Perfect for our pollinators, we invite you to immerse yourself in our wildflower world of butterflies and bees. How many species will you discover?
Families are invited to pick up a ‘Heligan Summer’ booklet from the Ticket Office before setting off through the Gardens, Jungle and Estate on your summer sensory adventure. ‘Heligan Summer’ encourages everyone to take a moment to slow down, connect with nature and enjoy the summer’s beautiful, bountiful and fleeting highlights.
Adults are invited to take part in a ‘Summer Wellbeing Experience’, part of a new collaboration between Heligan and South West based GP Dr Lucy Loveday. This unique summer journey has been created against a backdrop of “growing scientific evidence that reveals the value that nature experience has to benefit our mental health and wellbeing” – Dr Lucy Loveday
It’s a summer for the senses, a summer for slowing down and enjoying nature’s seasonal gifts, at your own pace, in your own time whilst in the knowledge that this year’s ‘Heligan Summer’ is designed to boost your wellbeing and leave you feeling good!
