Heligan Bakery donates huge gingerbread house to Children’s Hospice South West

  • 8th Dec 2018

This week the Heligan Bakery produced a huge, beautiful gingerbread house for Little Harbour in St Austell, which is part of Children's Hospice South West. The one-metre wide work of art is completed with gingerbread people and trees laced in icing, a smiling snowman and a Christmas train full of candy canes and sweet treats.

We delivered the gingerbread house to the hospice on Monday morning and it is now taking centre stage in the downstairs dining area.

Claire Kilbey, Head of Care at Little Harbour, said: “We are delighted with the donation of this beautiful gingerbread house to Little Harbour. It will have pride of place in the dining room and will be enjoyed by many children and families staying with us.”

All of the children (and staff if they can’t resist!) are able to enjoy and share the house. Who will dare to break the roof off the delicately decorated houses first?!
