‘Turn a New Leaf’ January Walks

This January, join us in ‘turning a new leaf’ and adventure around the Heligan Estate with one of two walks especially designed to boost your health and reconnect you with nature!

Studies have shown that walking in the natural environment has a wealth of health benefits including boosting immunity, reducing stress, increasing concentration and promoting positive mental well-being.

Natures very own gym, The Lost Gardens, provide the perfect place to explore nature’s bounty as well as to reap the health benefits of ‘green exercise’.

The Heligan Team have worked together to create two January walks for you to enjoy.

Our Nature Walk takes you on a journey around the estate and gardens, sharing gems of fascinating information about our ancient trees and inviting you to look out for Heligan’s abundant wildlife.

Our Family Welly Walk invites you and your family to get your wellies on and enjoy a good stomp around Heligan, there will be playful moments highlighted along the route as well as our favourite puddles and streams to jump and splash in!

To ‘Turn a New Leaf’ and join us in some wonderful green exercise, simply collect your walk information and map from Reception or Ticket Office to start your adventure. Both walks have more challenging and shorter versions available and all walks are free with garden admission.

After your invigorating walk, we invite you to join us by the log burner and enjoy a bowl of home-made seasonal soup, as part of our popular Heligan Soup Month.

Following on from the success of previous years, the Heligan Kitchen is cooking up a nutritious soup storm for your enjoyment, with the promise of 3 seasonal soups a day. Celeriac and Saffron, Leek and Potato and Beef Goulash are just some of the combinations that will be on the January Soup Menu.

Heligan Soups are available throughout January 12pm- 2.30pm, £5.50 includes a Heligan home-baked roll or cheese scone.
