Sir Tim’s 30th Anniversary talk and Heligan Team tour

An evening with Sir Tim Smit and the Heligan Team. A 30th anniversary celebratory evening full of fond reflection, present day celebration and connection to the future. Food, tours and talks to inspire!

Tim’s story of adventure, discovery, romance and restoration has inspired a nation of garden lovers for many years and has captured the imagination of Heligan visitors and our Team alike. With The Garden and Estate having been open for 30 years to our visitors, Tim and his team looks to now tell the story of Heligan’s future and the importance of its place within the local and wider community.

Join Tim and the Heligan Horticultural team for this exclusive one-off talk and tour, to hear all about the original discovery of The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the tales of the restoration and their ambition for Heligan for the next 30 years. With opportunity to ask your questions and to experience The Lost Gardens in this very personal way, this is an event for All plant lovers and garden romantics that is not to be missed, whether you have never visited before, or you visit us every week!

There will be a very special tour delivered by our skilled and creative team giving their individual insights and experiences as they highlight the large variety of champion trees, heritage fruits and vegetables and the foliage that changes with the turn of each season. The tour will explore the working year of The Gardens and showcase the exceptional skills required from the Heligan team to enable The Gardens to grow, diversify and to provide. As the tour promenades you through the gardens, our hospitality team will be on hand to deliver delicious snacks and canapes inspired from and grown in the gardens, to be enjoyed in the most enchanting of locations.

The tour will focus on the Northern Garden and the Kitchen Garden along with Home Farm, and on these occasions will not travel to the Jungle or to the Heligan Estate….although you will hear about it!
