This half term step into the natural world to discover Heligan’s native wildlife. Wander through our sensory trails amongst the woodland or gardens, spotting wild creatures taking shelter from the winter breeze and learning about the importance of wildlife to the biodiversity here at Heligan. Relax on the bean bags in the Wildlife Film Room and watch our wonderful wildlife come to life at night, thanks to our secret cameras. Don’t forget to take a moment to sit and marvel at the variety of birds that visit us during the day and add your sightings to the giant blackboard in The Hide.
If you’re feeling inspired by the thriving wildlife at Heligan, you can build a wildlife haven in your own gardens. Create bird treats for your feathered friends and seed bombs which you can plant and watch spring to life with wildflowers in the summer. You can also enjoy the beautiful patterns of nature inside your home too by producing a natural impression using Heligan foliage pressed into clay.
The Falmouth University BA Hons Marine and Natural History Photography Exhibition which celebrates the natural history of Heligan will also be showcasing outside The Hide.
Love Nature runs from 15th – 23rd February.
