You'll be dazzled by a motley cast of thieves, peas and wind-powered women, in a show for everyone who's lost their moral compass or quite frankly, just want the opportunity to let their hair down. 27th, 28th and 29th May
Gates will open at 6.30pm to ticket holders to find a seat, enjoy the atmosphere of Flora's green where you'll be welcomed by the cast and crew to get the evening started. The performance will begin at 8pm, and runs for approximately 70 minutes with no interval. This show is open to families and children aged 8 or over, and we'd recommend visitors bring blankets or chairs to watch the performance. Food, drinks and refreshments are available on site to get you in the mood and set you up for the evening.
Mike Shepherd, who has appeared in countless Kneehigh Theatre productions at The Lost Gardens, returns to Heligan with his new company In Cahoots with imPOSSIBLE producing and the Minack Theatre to bring us Calvino Nights. Co-directed by Mike Shepherd and Elayce Ismail.
The team at Heligan are thrilled to welcome back many familiar faces including, Mike along with Sarah Wright and Tim Dalling.
Mike writes: 'Italo Calvino is an Italian writer who collected aural tellings of folk tales and rewrote them with a lavish sprinkling of exaggeration. Calvino Nights is inspired by a mix of several of these folk tales including the adventures of a boy the size of a pea, a skinflint miser, a woman who lives on nothing more than wind, there are hapless robbers, fallen angels, circus tricks, the cosmos and lots of fire! '
Tickets are £25 per person, with a 10% discount for Heligan members.
