Kitchen Porter

Principle purpose of role

  • The perfect candidate must have a desire for Hospitality, can work under pressure and think on their feet.
  • Can provide multitasking and excellent communication skills.

Area of responsibility/tasks

  • Follow cleaning lists and ensure the kitchen area and equipment is kept clean
  • Ensure floors are kept clean and grease free
  • Clear all rubbish and emptying bins when required
  • Ensure all cleaning stations stay topped up as required
  • Maintain all crockery, glasses and pots and pans are kept clean to high standards
  • Wash pots and pans for the kitchens
  • Wash cutlery and crockery for front of house
  • Report any defects in equipment to the Head Chef
  • When needed, assist chefs with food preparations
  • Be aware and mindful of following all food hygiene procedures
  • Ensuring all cleaning and kitchen porter duties are consistently completed in accordance with schedules

Hours

  • 5 days per week
  • Hours vary between 9am-6pm
  • including some later evenings for events
