We are looking for a Videographer and Social Content Creator to join our team. You’ll be creative, adventurous and passionate about nature and sustainability.
In the Marketing Team, our mission is to speak to millions and millions of people, sharing the stories from Heligan that can help to shape a more sustainable, better future. The role is important for us to achieve this, as we look to take our much-loved brand onto new platforms, and to engage with wider audiences. We’re looking for someone who cares about nature, and is proactive, ambitious and an intuitive story-teller.
Package
• The roll is full time, 40hrs a week, and will require some occasional work at weekends or during evening events.
• It is based at The Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall.
• The role would suit a graduate, or someone who’s passionate about impactful storytelling
Salary: £21,000 - £24,000
Detail
Principal purpose of role
1. Responsibility for all areas of content creation from concept to delivery.

2. Support the Marketing Team in developing a social media content strategy that aligns with the Marketing Strategy
3. Support with community management of social media communities, as well as development of a brand presence in new and emerging platforms.
Skills & Attributes
· Proactive approach to problem-solving with a good balance between perfection and pragmatism
· Excellent IT and communication skills
· Experience in filming, photography and editing, with knowledge and practical understanding of using Adobe creative suite: Final Cut Pro/Adobe Premiere Pro/Photoshop.
· Great team-work, and ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, and someone who is flexible to a changing working environment.
· Demonstrating great initiative and a self-starter – with examples of how you’ve done this successfully before
· A degree in videography or marketing and examples of work and experience
· The ability to write creatively, developing a tone of voice which is on-brand,
· Social media savvy; up to date on the latest social trends.
· Ability to create relevant content in different formats, e.g., graphics, GIFs, and short-form videos across all social platforms
· Drone skills useful but not essential
· Highly skilled in film with developing / passion for photography and graphics / design also
· Technical understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook & YouTube.
· Skill (and examples of) using video and photo editing software to a consistently high level creating authentic and unique content
· Uses insights and analytics to take a data-driven approach to content planning, using tools to understand content engagement and adjust strategy accordingly.
· A willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
· Great attention to detail and proactive approach to tackling projects.

Education: Bachelor’s (preferred)
Experience: 1 year social media marketing (preferred)

Other: The Videographer may be required to undertake other reasonable duties which are compatible with the overall scope of this appointment and, in addition, all employees are expected to work within the terms of their contract of employment and adhere to Smit Associates policies and the Values and Behaviours.
You may also be required to work on the other brands in the Smit Associates portfolio.
