About the Role

The Lost Gardens of Heligan are pleased to be looking to recruit an Administrator to be an integral part of the new Heligan Learning hub project –The Seed Pod.

This exciting new project aims to ignite curiosity in the natural world.

With The Lost Gardens of Heligan as the classroom this project will combine outdoor learning and the natural world, utilising the unique assets and spaces that Heligan has to offer. This learning programme aims to provide a forum through which knowledge is exchanged and facilitate increasingly important conversations about the environment, biodiversity, food and the future of the world we live in.  

This exciting role will sit within the newly formed Heligan Learning & Wellbeing department having responsibility for supporting the departmental team, as well as overseeing internal staff training and other HR records.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, organised and ambitious with a passion for education and wellbeing.

Job Description

Job Title: Learning, Wellbeing & Training Administrator

Main Duties:

  • Within the Learning & Wellbeing team, providing administrative support such as organising, keeping notes for key meetings, preparing agendas and presentation decks and following up on meeting actions without prompting.
  • Manage scheduling (and room booking) within the Seedpod for groups attending learning and wellbeing programmes.
  • Oversee, organise and log training for all Heligan staff (e.g. CPD) on a structured basis; as well as providing HR administration such as recruitment and contract administration.
  • Be an integral part of the Learning & Wellbeing team with potential group facilitation requirements – e.g. welcome, logistics, etc.
  • Coordinate learning & wellbeing team event planning, delivering full event management within budget and brief.

Key Skills

  • Proven experience in Administration, HR and/or training
  • Self-starter and ability to work autonomously
  • Experience in group facilitation and/or training delivery would be an advantage
  • Ability to juggle multiple demands and to prioritise
  • Understanding and passion for outdoor education and nature-based learning & wellbeing techniques.

Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of learning management systems and/or HR systems and web delivery tools.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms.
  • An enthusiastic team player with great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

The Package

Annual salary:  £27k - £28k per annum

Duration

Permanent, 24 to 40 hours per week dependant on applicant
